Maggie Mayall is currently performing live gigs with her brand of sassy rockin' blues and jazz. After nearly 30 years of honing her style, she blends an attractive persona and a powerful voice with a seasoned entertainer's charismatic sensibilities. She can work an audience!
Originally from Chicago, Maggie was on tour with guitarist Harvey Mandel in 1978 when she met blues great John Mayall and went on the road with his band as a featured singer, songwriter and percussionist. They married in 1982.
In 1986, she started an ALL-WOMAN blues band called Maggie Mayall & The Cadillacs, featuring Debbie Davies, which enjoyed several years of popular renown on the west coast. She later joined a Rock Musical-Comedy group called The Housewives, appearing in clubs and on live T.V., including The Oprah Winfrey Show.
In addition to performing live, Maggie runs a small record company, a merchandise business, and has written and produced for her husband, John Mayall.
Maggie has recently released a retrospective CD of her own music on Private Stash Records, entitled "dig this".
